Cooling Tower Replacement
CSD Engineers was contacted by a major metals client to design a project to replace a cooling tower for a BOP furnace, as well as installation of four stainless steel modular cooling towers, and VFD’s to run fans. The project updated the piping systems and wiring for the site. CSD was tasked with designing temporary piping to re-route river water, which was used to cool the furnace during construction of the new cooling system. During the project, CSD Engineers successfully utilized this temporary cooling system to keep mill operations running during the installation.
